Dec.12th - Yes Friday the 13th is tomorrow!

It's been a fun but crazy week - spirit week, Christmas crafts and definitely excitment in the air!
Report cards did come home on Monday and those are yours to keep.  If so some reason you did not receive yours please let me know.

Thank you so much for your support with our leadership Spirit Week, it has been hectic but fun!
Also thanks to Kayla, Liam and Rhys's mom for helping with our special Christmas crafts.

Reminders for tomorrow and next week...

***Career Day is tomorrow - students are welcome to dress up as what they'd like to be when they grow up or any professional/career person.  It is also the Entrepeneur Fair which we will be visiting tomorrow afternoon.  If you'd like your child to make any purchases please send the money in a ziplock bag labelled with their name, items are $1.00-$2.00.

***Bake Sale is on Tuesday, again please send money in a ziplock labelled bag.

***The Concert is on Tuesday night, December 17th. The classroom doors will open at 6:15, if you arrive sooner than that please have your child stay with you until 6:15.  Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 is the second concert.  Please note our costume is fancy clothes, bow ties and suspenders, dresses, etc.

***Skating is Thursday,  Dec. 19th, currently we have enough drivers (some driver's abstracts though still need to be fill out though).  None of the other classes have enough drivers though, so if you are able to help out please let me know as they may need to cancel which would be very disappointing:(
Tuesday is the cut-off date tomake the decision about cancellation.  Please send in money for skate and helmet rental as I will not be here Thursday or Friday, so it is very important that I have everything prepared and organized for our skating field trip.

***Classroom Celebration and PJ Day is on Friday. We will also be having Hallway reading at 8:45 after Family Reading so students are being encouraged to bring their favourite Christmas books. Snacks will be provided by...

***Our west coast weather has unfortunately arrived!  Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately and have an extra set of clothes in case of accidents.  Students will be outside for recess and lunch!

Dec. 6/19

Yesterday we made snowman advent calendars with our big buddies!  It was fun and now we can count down to Christmas just another way! Your child should have brought their's home yesterday or today.

***Fairview's Toy Drive ends next week - please have all donations in by Tuesday.

Tues Dec 17 - Bake Sale (change from Dec 11) at lunch
Dec. 20 is Pajama Day and our class celebration in the afternoon

Skating on Thursday, Dec. 19/19 at 1:00 - please be sure to sign up on the portal and send in the money for skates and helmets asap
I will be away the last two days of school so I need to have everything prepared (drivers etc) for Mr. Edwards for our skating field trip.  Our classroom Christmas celebration will be on the Friday afternoon.  Thanks in advance to the families who have signed up for snacks...

Concert - Dr. Saul is asking everyone to dress in fancy holiday fashion, bow ties, suspenders possibly etc.  Please do not feel you have to go out to buy anything new though.

Report cards will go home on Monday (sorry I had hoped to get them copied but crazy day plus had a meeting at lunch)  Please keep these as they are your copies.

We have planned a series of Christmas crafts for the next couple of weeks.  If anyone would like to volunteer to help with these crafts please let me know - most days I believe we will try to do these before recess (9:30- 10:10).

Headphones are needed please...we use these in class, in the computer lab and will be starting a special inquiry project with Mrs. Holmes in January which we will also be using headphones for.
