Earth Day Week

We've had three April birthdays this week.  Kate, Holden and Chase.  We hope you all had very special days!  Thanks to everyone who made special birthday signs, this really helps when we can't share our birthdays with friends.

We had lots of great Earth Day posters, drawings, recycling creations and more!

Cam made a cool Div. 9 rock that he has hidden in the Fairview forest.  Let's see who can find it and re-hide it (without touching it with bare hands!). Kayla already has found it and hid it again.

Paper Challenge - so far Sean has the record of 176 cm!  Unless I have missed an email!
I loved this picture comparing the size of the paper to a 81/2 year old!

Look at the cool leaf picture that Neena and Colton made!

Week #4 April 27- May 1st

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a good week despite the fact the weather has changed and that rain is expected all next week’s forecast.  Keep smiling!  I am impressed by the work everyone is sending in.  Keep up the great work! Please email me if your child is struggling with a concept or needs some extra help. I will arrange for an individual zoom to go over the difficulties or even make some small groups.

On Monday I will be doing a lesson on 2 Dimensional shapes and there are some numeracy activities to reinforce this skill below. At zoom meetings I will introduce new concepts but also continue rotating review/practice of previously studied skills.   I will keep doing this through ours weekly learning plans.  This week I have planned the same Zoom meetings but next week may change this schedule to Monday 1:00 and Thursday 10 or 11 with some small groups on Wednesday. (There are some conflicts with siblings – please let me know if these changes would NOT work). Students are encouraged to join when they can.
