Thanks to everyone for making the time to come for your child's conference. It was wonderful to see your children proudly showing you their work and also being able to celebrate and set goals for their final term.
On Monday we were very lucky to see the Maple Man from Quebec, he taught us how maple syrup is made. It was great and we even got to sample maple taffy! It was very yummy. Ask your child about what they liked and learned about this informative presentation.
I am very happy to report that our missing books were found, they are now labelled and students can start to bring them home. Thanks again to Caleb, Chase, Sean, Jayton, Holden for purchasing these books for Div. 9.
Our Act field trip to see Annie on April 16th is now up on the portal. Please sign up. Thanks.
Have a safe and enjoyable spring break! At this point the schools are planning to be back in session on March 30th.

March 6/20
As I mentioned in my email Div. 9 unfortunately is missing books two of the brand new books we just got last week, donated by students from the book fair. Pig the Tourist and, Pig the Star could everyone please check their homes in case your child took it home before I had it properly labelled and ready to be taken out. The whole class was so excited about this books so we really want to find them.
Speaking of emails - every week when I update this blog I send out a reminder email to you. Just yesterday we discovered one parent is not getting any of my emails :( If you are also not getting this emails please let me know asap. Thanks
Mr. Maxwell has started teaching a special unit on salmon which the children seem very excited about. What makes it even better is that Mrs. Passaglia is raising salmon so we are able to actually see the different stages of their lives. Please have your child read over the new song in their Poetry.
Thanks to all the parents and grandparents who helped make skating possible. It was so great to see all the students out skating with their peers having fun with their improved skating skills. I just love seeing the progress that they make from Oct. til March! So many became 'skaters'!
I want to send out a special thanks to Rhys' mom who comes in every Friday to do prep for our class. She is truly amazing with all that she accomplishes each week! I can't thank you enough. I'd also like to thank Colton, Kayla, Liam's mom who have helped with memory books or Reader's Workshop.
